As one of the birthplaces of skiing, China is among those around the globe who invest the most in the ‘ice & snow industry’. Under the vision of Chinese President Xi Jinping to 'bring the ice & snow sports population to 300 million', the ice & snow sports will soon usher in a new phase in China, which will also add on its rapid development in many other places in the world. As the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games approach, the ice & snow sports and tourism in China is becoming increasingly popular, gaining attention worldwide and bringing unprecedented opportunities for the ‘ice & snow’ industry.
为助力推广冰雪品牌、持续弘扬冰雪文化、繁荣冰雪旅游、促进全民冰雪运动、逐步实现中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦，由民革中央、中共吉林省委、吉林省人民政府、吉林省政协共同主办，世界旅游联盟、中共吉林市委、吉林市人民政府共同承办的“世界旅游联盟·北大湖对话”将于12月25日在吉林省吉林市召开。届时，来自法国、意大利、俄罗斯、北欧等国家和地区的代表，国内外专家学者、世界旅游联盟会员代表及企业机构代表将齐聚雾凇之都，共话冰雪旅游新前景。
In the hope of reinforcing the image of Jilin city as an ice & snow tourism destination, enhancing communication and exchanges in the ice & snow cultures, boosting nationwide participation in the ice & snow sports and tourism activities, and contributing to the realization of the Chinese Dream for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee, the People’s Government of Jilin Province and the Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) are set to jointly organize the 'WTA · Beidahu Dialogue' in the Jilin City, Jilin Province on December 25, 2021. Co-hosted by the World Tourism Alliance (WTA), the CPC Jilin Municipal Committee and the People’s Government of Jilin City, the Dialogue will present an opportunity for delegates from France, Italy, Russia, Northern Europe and other countries and regions, domestic and foreign experts and scholars, representatives of WTA members, as well as trade partners from a variety of enterprises and organizations to get together for an exchange of ideas on the latest in ice & snow tourism.
